*In California and other states, Registered Sex Offenders are currently considered a "Protected Class," meaning that a prospective tenant cannot be discriminated against because they are a registered offender. However, a landlord may be held liable for harm to others when the landlord has sufficient control to obviate the danger but fails to exercise the appropriate care.
In other words, it is extremely important for a landlord to know the laws regarding discrimination. We will simply provide you with the information, but you are responsible for how you choose to use that information and we will not be held responsible for any actions a landlord may choose to take when accepting or rejecting a prospective tenant.
